Go Brown Bees!

It has been a busy time at the Bowling house. We signed Connor up for Tee Ball and he now loves baseball. I also enjoyed being the coach. I was not so hot on the idea at first, but we had a great team. I would say the best team. All the kids were so cute and each one so diffrent. We even hit a few home runs. We also got our garden started, but you will have to wait for pictures.

Easter Morning

Easter is here at last! Connor had us up at 6 looking for eggs and then we got dressed in our best. We enjoyed a brunch at church and then a very nice service. The worship was wonderful. We then went to lunch and then home to fly a kite and ride the hot wheels bike. Connor is doing very well since we took the training wheels off last week. The first try he took off with little help after a few times he was going all on his own. He is hard to keep up with.

Good Friday

Good Friday is a busy day at our house. It started at 7:00 with Hot Cross Buns, a family tradition of mine since I was little. My brother and I would stay with my Great Grandma while my mom and dad worked. Every year we would help make these rolls. A memory that I will cherish forever.

After the rolls were done the real fun started...

Connor loves to dye eggs. Every year he tries to make a Woody (Toy Story) egg, so far they have not turned out, but he keeps trying and then settles for a yellow one. The day brought many smiles and giggles. I hope I am building memories that Connor will cherish forever.

New Fence

We finally put up a new fence! It was a lot of work to take out the old one, but worth it. Here are some before, during, and after pictures.

PARTY!

Connor had a birthday to remember. Tuesday we went to the Aquarium with Heather and Rex. We opened presents and then went to Chili's for dinner. Connor loved all the attention. Saturday we had a few people over for cake and ice cream and of course more presents.

MAP

Connor read his first word today! We were sitting in the drive through at the bank and the car in front of us had the letters MAP on his licence plate. I asked him what the letters were and what sound they made. After a few times sounding out the letters he got it and said MAP. I told him how proud I was of him and he said "See Mom I knew I was learning something at preschool."

5 years ago today God blessed me with the most wonderful gift - a very special little boy. I often wonder why God choose me to be to Connor's mom, but whatever the reason I am forever grateful. Happy Birthday Connor! I hope all your dreams come true. I am very proud of you. Thank you for the many smiles you bring to my face every day. Thank you for being you. I Love You!

Today Connor decided to seep in, something he never does. Rex came over and I thought it would be fun to let Rex loose. It took a few minutes, but Rex finally did it. As you can see Connor was a little surprised.

Ready for Spring!

Saturday was a great day to be outside. Connor wanted to go roller skating, so we did. He was so proud of himself for doing it all by himself. I love days like this that we can just play. Life is short - we need to play more!

The New Look!

Connor has a friend in school that spikes his hair. Well Connor is just now catching on... Sunday it started... we have to spike it every day. Yesterday it was snowing and I went to let Nalla out and he was very worried about his spikes. Everyday seems to be a new adventure with its ups and downs. He is growing up so fast. Since we went to Walk with the Dinos he has grown at least 2 inches and turned into this little adult. Today in the car he was telling me how he wants to fly planes when he grows up. I told him that is great, but he needs to finish school, well that opened up a whole new very serious conversation. He analyzed his whole life (I wonder where he gets that from???). He is such an amazing little boy, I just only wish he didn't have to grow up so fast.
