Christmas Day Is Here!

Christmas at the Bowling house was wonderful other than the foot of snow that we woke up to. Connor had us up at 5:30 and we were done by 6:30. Connor's favorite toy was the Geo Air that he has been talking about for months. Wes gave me footie pj's and Connor gave me a tree he had made in preschool - I love them! We enjoyed a quiet morning of just the three of us. Then we went to my Grandma's where we enjoyed good food and more presents.

Curtis Christmas Party

Connor sat on Santa's lap for the first time today (well with a little help from his Auntie Tina) and told him what he wanted for Christmas. We have always told Connor the truth about Santa, but this year Connor seems to want to beleive in the magic. We had a great time visiting with family. Wes was home sick, so he didn't get to join in on the festivities.

Christmas Program

Today was Connor's Christmas Program for school. It was wonderful. I know I was overwhelmed with emotion. Connor had lots of support from his aunt Tracy, our neighbors Heather and Rex, and his very proud Mommy and Daddy. There were also many others that were that were supporting and loving him from a far. He was dressed and ready to go at 7:00 this morning (the program started at 9:00). Any one who know Connor knows that he loves his dress shirts and ties. He was so excited to wear his chirstmas outfit. We love you Connor!

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving at the Bowling house started at 6:00 am. Connor woke us up so we could make a gingerbread house. As you can see Connor enjoyed eating the frosting.

Then we pulled out all the Christmas stuff and started decorating...

Then we sat down and enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner... Yummy! We hope all of you enjoyed your Thanksgiving as much as we did.

Monday Connor caught a bug and was throwing up most of the night. Then he gave it to me. So we have spent most of the week in bed while Wes has been in Texas helping his mom. It is probaly a good thing that he has been gone. I am not sure where we got the bug, but I know it is going around. I have wiped the house down from top to bottom in hopes that I have killed all the germs. It will be nice to be over it and get back to life.

Play Time

We had our first real snow storm today. We didn't get much, but Connor still had to make a snowman.

Trick or Treat

Connor was excited from the moment he woke up this morning. We had a very full day visiting family and eating candy. We went trick or treating to a few houses and then home to bed. Connor was a monkey - not by choice. I found the costume at Old Navy and thought it was cute. Connor wanted to be T-Rex or Woody. I think he makes a very cute monkey!

Pickin' Pumpkins

Connor and I look forward to going to the pumpkin patch and picking pumpkins every year. When we have found the perfect pumpkins we stop for pumpkin milkshakes. Yummy!

Our Summer

Summer was busy at our house...

We moved into a new house... Connor's room was full of flowers on the walls, so the first thing to do was paint. I spent the first week working on his room. He wanted a yellow room (yellow is Connor's favorite color). We compermized and did one wall yellow. In the end it turned out very nice. Wes has been busy working on the shed. He has been making it his workshop so he can turn pens. There is plenty of work still to be done to make it feel like home, but we are working on it.

• Wes hurt his arm putting up the swing set. We took him to the emergency room and found out he ripped his bicept off the bone. A few weeks after he had surgery he started physical therapy. It has been a tough recovery, but everyday it gets better.

Connor got his first Hot Wheels big boy bike. I think he is ready to take the training wheels off, but he is a scared. So I guess we will try that one next summer.

• Connor started preschool - This is probably Connor's biggest accomplishment. The first few days were hard, but he is doing very well and loves letters and the sounds they make. He is very good at art. I am very proud of him.
